Jerusalem – 50 Years with Israel

7 June 1967 Jerusalem was recaptured, after 1900 years, fulfilling our Lord’s prophecy: “Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles UNTIL the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled….” Luke 21:24. There is but one more brief downtreading… when “all nations are gathered against Jerusalem to battle…. THEN shall the Lord go forth and fight…” (Zechariah 14:2-4).

On This Day In History: Siege of Jerusalem: Titus And His Legions Breach The Middle Wall Of The City – On June 5, 70 CE

Jerusalem is OURS!

UNESCO, that is the ‘United Nations education, Science and Cultural Organisation’ has made a fool of itself by denying the connection between the Jewish people, the Temple dscn9241Mount and the Western Wall. Commenting on this Israel’s Prime Minster said:

“Today the organization took yet another hallucinatory decision that says that the people of Israel have no connection to the Temple Mount or to the Western Wall. Forget about asking if they have read the Bible. I suggest that UNESCO member visit the Arch of Titus in Rome. There you can see what the Romans brought to Rome after they destroyed and looted the Temple which stood on the Temple Mount 2,000 years ago. dscn9270Engraved in the Arch of Titus you can see the seven-branched Menorah, which was and remains a symbol of the Jewish people and is also a symbol of today’s Jewish state. Soon UNESCO will say that the Emperor Titus was in the business of Zionist propaganda.

“To say that Israel has no connection to the Temple and the Western Wall is like saying that China is not connected to the Great Wall of China or that Egypt has not connection to the pyramids.”dscn9267

The enemies of Israel will claim that the holy places are ours (Ezekiel 36:2).The UN already has on its books the aim to internationalize Jerusalem. This is another cause which will impel “all nations to come against Jerusalem to battle”.

Armageddon is in the wind!

Brexit – Britain leaves the EU

Historically, Britain has never been joined with Europe. For over 500 years, Britain has been a trade sea trading power, in fact the mart of nations, which led her to colonise many countries.

Britain has been in Europe since the mid 1970’s. The Bible is clear that at the time of Armageddon when Russia invades the Middle East and advances to occupy Egypt, Britain will make a separate stand from Europe. Portrayed in Ezekiel 38:13 as the modern Tarshish with her commonwealth countries described as “young lions” (she is the mother lion), she will challenge the northern invader.

The Lord will arrive at Jerusalem to prevent stop the deportation of Jews and deliver the occupied city of Jerusalem (read Daniel 11:45; Zechariah 14) and set up his throne there (Zechariah 14:9; Isaiah 2:2-4).

However the nations of Europe (the 10 horns-kings of the Roman beast depicted in Revelation 17:12-14) will “make war with the Lamb” This attempt to challenge the King of Jerusalem – claiming that he is “anti-christ” is the subject of Psalm 2. This war is further described in Revelation 19:19,20. Their end is certain.

Preparing for Armageddon!

Several weeks ago, a military exercise took place in Jordan, Operation Eager Lion. It comprised 18 nations, including Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Iraq, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Additionally, NATO’s Allied Rapid Reaction Corps is scheduled to participate in the exercise. This is the 5th year that the two week exercise has taken place. These are some of the nations listed in Ezekiel 38:13, those that will challenge the latter day invasion by Russia and her allies. It is amazing that the exercise is called “Operation Eager LION” – the young lions of the British Empire will certainly take part.

Jordan PreparingThe exercise was held among five sites across Jordan. It was based on the scenario of a friendly force coming to the aid of an ally under threat by an aggressive neighbor. A Navy command out of Bahrain deployed explosive ordnance disposal techs, Seabees and patrol craft from both countries to role-play port security in Aqaba, Jordan’s only coastal city.

FURTHER PLANS TO LIMIT ISIS

When King Salman bin Abdulaziz ascended the Saudi throne last January, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant was well on the way to engulfing western and central Iraq and northern, eastern and southern Syria. On the assumption that the United States could not be relied on to keep the tide away from his realm, the new king started the ball rolling on a revolutionary scheme. It hinged on expanding the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to form a Sunni-ruled buffer state as a barrier against the encroaching jiahdist peril – even if this entailed ditching post-Colonial borders and redrawing the Middle East map anew.

No one in Riyadh or Amman ventures to assess how long it will take to create the new Sunni state. But there is a sense of urgency in both capitals and a feeling that dark crises are gathering fast around their borders. King Abdullah visited London Tuesday, June 22 for secret meetings with officials of the non-Arab members of the coalition the US set up last year to fight the Islamic State.

Gallipoli and the Pope

Gallipoli is now being remembered 100 years after the event. The invasion of Gallipoli was an attempt to get control of the seaway and so relieve the Russian army with supplies, and by opening another fighting front, deflect some German forces away from Europe. It was a dreadful failure.turcia

Gallipoli was bound to fail in the purpose of God. The Anzacs weren’t going to stop at Gallipoli. The next stop was Constantinople, which was going to be given to Russia. In the terms of Bible prophecy is was too soon for Russia to occupy the ancient capital of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire. When Russia does occupy this ancient city, she will be “king of the north” (Daniel 11:40-45) and will then invade Israel and occupy Egypt.

Last week, Pope Francis commented on the killings of the Armenians in 1915, calling it a genocide.

This has infuriated the Turkish authorities. They have withdrawn their ambassador from the Vatican. and said this comment was “a modern reflection of the crusader wars launched in these lands for centuries” (The Press 18 Apr 2015).

In 1096 Pope Urban II ordered the crusades to secure the Holy Places. For several hundred years the people in the Middle East were attacked, butchered and even eaten. Agreements made were not kept by the Crusaders. Historians point out that the Middle East people never forgot this, and see Western interference as another attempt to invade. Osama bin Laden called the American invasion in 1991 “another crusade”.

Netanyahu back in Office

Benjamin Netanyahu has been re-elected Prime Minister of Israel!

We aren’t too interested in the details of Israeli politics. Israel is back in the land and will remain there, according to the will of God. But many still need to “turn from transgression” ere their Redeemer come (Isaiah 59:20).

What we ARE interested in is the policy of Netanyahu. He has come out clearly to say there will be no Palestinian State. What does that mean? In the 1967 war, Israel beat her enemies in a resounding victory, taking the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights and the whole of the West Bank, taken by Jordan in 1948. They have since given Sinai Peninsula back.

There has been great pressure to return the West Bank, once part of Jordan. We-mapSeveral past Israeli leaders have announced they WILL give it, or part of it back! Each of these leaders have been taken out of office by the electorate. The last was Ariel Sharon.

Bible Prophecy is clear. At the time of the end at least the southern section of the West Bank must be in Israeli hands. Zechariah repeatedly refers to Judah and Jerusalem which are part of the West Bank (read chapters 12 and 14).

At the time of Armageddon, “all nations will be gathered against Jerusalem to battle.” (Zechariah 14:2). The city shall fall and Jews will be deported (Zechariah 14:2; Joel 3:5,6). The international force will make Jerusalem its headquarters (Daniel 11:45). When all seems lost, the Lord Jesus Christ shall come to Jerusalem and defeat the armies of the world.

He will make Jerusalem his capital city (Zechariah 14:9) and begin to bring order, resettling the Jews, bringing home all Israel throughout the world in the second Exodus (Ezekiel 20:33+) occupying the ancient promised territory, from the Euphrates to the Nile.

In Netanyahu’s re-election, the Word of God is once more assured!

Anti-Semitism!

The old hatred of Jews is rising again.  The 70th anniversary of the freeing of Auschwitz was held a few weeks ago, and now, Jews are being targeted in Europe. In recent days several Jewish graves were desecrated in a cemetery in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Grave Dunedin

Anti-semitism, the historians tell us, began as hordes of Catholic Crusaders rampaged across Europe en route for the Holy Land to get control of the Holy Places from the new invaders from the East.

Israel was conquered and torn out of their land by the Romans in AD70. God said they would “find no ease among these nations” and have “a trembling heard, failing of eyes and sorrow of mind, and thy life shall hang in doubt before thee and thou shalt fear day and night and shalt have none assurance of thy life..” (Deuteronomy 28:65,66).

For all these years, the Jews silently submitted to discrimination and cruelty, until Napoleon gave them equal civil rights. Then slowly, amazingly, began the idea that perhaps they could be their own people once more. Post-World War II, the nations of the UN, conscience-stricken over the death of six million Jews, voted for Israel’s nationhood in November 1947.

Amazingly the tiny state defeated the first attempts at invasion, and are now a strong, independent nation – the only democratic country in the Middle East.

After recent Muslim terrorist events, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is encouraging European Jews to return home, and Israel is preparing for mass immigration.

IT IS NOT OVER! Israel shall once more be invaded, and her people subjected to another holocaust when 2/3rds shall die in the land. “all nations will be gathered against Jerusalem to battle” (Zechariah 13:8,9; ch 14:1-3). This time the Lord will intervene, defeat the nations, put the world in fear and trembling with a massive earthquake and then set up his rule over all the earth (Zechariah 14:4-9, 16).
