When did the existence of Christ begin?
It is important to know the truth, for our salvation depends on it (John 17:3).
The Bible clearly states that the existence of Jesus Christ began at conception in his mother’s womb by the power of the Spirit of God (Luke 1:32). God begot him, God dwelt in him, and worked through him during his ministry. Then Jesus died and was buried, but God raised him from death. Then God gave him a new glorious body (Philippians 3:21) and the Son became eternal, as “the first begotten from the dead” (Revelation 1:5).
Some scriptures are regarded as teaching that the Son had always existed. These need to be carefully examined to obtain the correct understanding.
